Neeb Karoli Dham is located in Nibkarori village of Farrukhabad district, Uttar Pradesh. The place became renowned as the starting point of Neem Karoli Baba's divine journey, and it’s where his miraculous powers were first witnessed due to an incident on a train.
Neem Karoli Baba, known as Laxman Das in his early years, was once traveling by train without a ticket. The ticket checker asked him to disembark, and Baba obliged. However, after he got off, the train wouldn’t move. Despite repeated efforts, the train remained stalled. The railway officials realized that it was due to Baba’s divine powers. They rushed to him, begged for forgiveness, and requested him to board the train again. Baba agreed but made one condition: that a railway station be built at this spot for the benefit of the local people. This station came to be known as Lakshman Das Puri.
After this incident, Baba stayed in Nibkarori village for an extended period, and it was here that his fame began to spread. The villagers became deeply devoted to him and created a small ashram for him, including a cave for his meditation. During his time in the village, Baba established a Hanuman Mandir, for which he performed a grand Maha-Yagya.
