Story of Hanuman Garhi Temple of Ayodhya

Hanuman Garhi temple is located in the heart of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman who is believed to be the present King of Ayodhya.
The legend of Hanuman Garhi Temple dates back to the time when Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. Accompanying him was his loyal devotee, Lord Hanuman. Upon their arrival, Lord Rama asked Hanuman what he wished for as a reward for his unwavering devotion. Hanuman, embodying humility and selflessness, requested only to stay in a place where the names of Rama and Sita would always be chanted. Thus, Hanuman took residence at Hanuman Garhi, a place where the echoes of "Rama" and "Sita" reverberate constantly.
In the later years, as Lord Rama prepared to take Jal Samadhi, he appointed Hanuman as his representative, making him the ruler of Kaliyuga. Lord Rama instructed Hanuman to stay in Ayodhya and continue to bless and protect the devotees. Since then, Hanuman has been revered as the eternal king of Ayodhya, residing in Hanuman Garhi and safeguarding Ramkot (the fortress of Rama).
